Gun rights advocacy groups are sounding the alarm on the new 2024 Democratic National Committee (DNC) platform released Sunday that proposed sweeping gun control regulations.
GroupssuchasGunOwnersofAmerica(GOA)andtheNationalShootingSportsFoundation(NSSF)toldtheDailyCallerNewsFoundationthattheDNCplatformshowstheDemocrat’sproposals“runafoul”withSecondAmendmentprotections.TheplatformstatedthatDemocratswould“passanationalredflaglawtopreventtragediesbykeepingweaponsoutofdangeroushands,”andwouldincreaseATFfundingfor“enforcementandprosecution,”accordingtotheplatformreleasedaheadoftheconventionbeginningAugust19.
