(MissouriIndependent)–AMissourilawdeclaringsomefederalgunregulations“invalid”isunconstitutional becauseitviolatestheU.S.Constitution’ssupremacyclause,afederalappealscourtinSt.LouisunanimouslyruledonMonday.
Athree-judgepaneloftheEighthCircuitCourtofAppealsagreedwithadistrictcourtrulingfromlastyearthat blockedMissourifromenforcingtheSecondAmendmentPreservationAct,alawpassedin2021thatpenalizespoliceforenforcingcertainfederalgunlaws.
Amongthelaw’sprovisionsisa$50,000fineforlawenforcementagenciesthat“infringe”onMissourians’SecondAmendmentrights.
