North Carolina Shooting Under Investigation: Man Killed in Possible Self-Defense Incident

In a developing story out of Onslow County, North Carolina, a man was shot and killed last Monday morning in what authorities are investigating as a domestic-related incident. Colton Bush, 28, was found inside a home on Bear Creek Road with multiple gunshot wounds. Bush later succumbed to his injuries at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene shortly after midnight on October 7th, 2024. They confirmed that Bush was under an active Domestic Violence Protective Order and was not a lawful resident of the home where the shooting occurred.
