A horrific scene of domestic street violence took a fatal turn late Sunday evening, June 28, 2026, when a Fort Worth neighbor intervened to save a woman being dragged down the pavement by a man armed with a machete. The Fort Worth Police Department (FWPD) confirmed that when the armed assailant broke off his assault on the woman to charge the intervening resident, the neighbor drew a firearm and neutralized the lethal threat.
