Police are investigating a possible active shooter situation on Florida State University’s campus. In a post on X, the university advised those on campus to shelter in place.

FloridaStateUniversity(FSU)policearerespondingtoan“activescene”onitsTallahasseecampusandareworkingto“getitundercontrol.”TheuniversitywroteonXthatanactiveshooterwasreportedandinstructedthoseoncampustoshelterinplace.
AseniorFloridalawenforcementsourcetoldFoxNewsthatatleastonepersonwasincustody,butcouldnotconfirmiftheindividualwasashooter.Additionally,theFBI’sJacksonvillefieldofficeandTallahasseeresidentagencyofficeareonthescene.
AttorneyGeneralPamBondireleasedastatementonthesituation.
“The[FBI]isonthesceneatFloridaStateandweareincommunicationwithagentsontheground.Ourpriorityisthesafetyofeveryoneinvolved.Wewillkeepupdatingaswelearnmore.Prayingforall,”Bondiwrote.
