‘Active scene,’ report of shooter at Florida State University, ‘shelter in place’ ordered

Police are investigating a possible active shooter situation on Florida State University’s campus. In a post on X, the university advised those on campus to shelter in place.

FloridaStateUniversity(FSU)policearerespondingtoan“activescene”onitsTallahasseecampusandareworkingto“getitundercontrol.”TheuniversitywroteonXthatanactiveshooterwasreportedandinstructedthoseoncampustoshelterinplace.  AseniorFloridalawenforcementsourcetoldFoxNewsthatatleastonepersonwasincustody,butcouldnotconfirmiftheindividualwasashooter.Additionally,theFBI’sJacksonvillefieldofficeandTallahasseeresidentagencyofficeareonthescene.
