During last week’s annual NRA meetings, exciting news has come out about the celebrity hero who will serve as their next President.
Retired Lt. Col. Oliver North has been elected President of the NRA by the board of directors.
From Fox News:
“NRA Executive Vice President and CEO Wayne LaPierre called North a “legendary warrior for American freedom, a gifted communicator and skilled leader.” LaPierre called the North announcement “the most exciting news for our members since Charlton Heston became President of our Association.”
The NRA has taken a ton of heat from the main stream media lately, as liberals try to tie any shooting anywhere back to the NRA. It will be interesting to see how North handles this new role amid such controversy.
The NRA and its members will no doubt be looking for North to bring positivity back to the group.
One of the NRA spokespeople is very excited about the news of the new President.
Thrilled about the Oliver North news. A total warrior for freedom, this is the last person that anti-gun advocates would want as the new President of the NRA board.
