WASHINGTON—Overthepast20years,technologicalinnovationhasmainlybeenconcentratedintraditionaltechhubssuchasCalifornia,NewYork,andMassachusetts.TheBidenadministrationisnowlookingtobroadenthispotential,providingsmallertechhubsacrossthecountrywithmoreopportunitiestogrow.
Aspartoftheeffort,onJuly2,theadministrationannounced$504millioninfundingfor12regionaltechhubstosupportthegrowthofcriticaltechnologiesandsectorssuchassemiconductors,biotechnology,artificialintelligence,quantumcomputing,andcleanenergy.
