New Hampshire bill aims to block local gun control measures
—
New Hampshire is preparing to vote on a bill that would restrict towns and cities from enacting their own gun control measures.
The bill expands state law by prohibiting municipalities from regulating guns and other weapons, including knives, tasers, and pepper spray.
If passed, the legislation would give the State of New Hampshire sole authority over the regulation of weapons.
According to Seacoast Online, Democrats have called the bill “dangerous,” while Republicans have described it as “pro-Second Amendment.”
A vote is scheduled for June 4.
